Pain management in neonates, infants, and children is a complex challenging aspect of healthcare, with high prevalence undertreatment. Efforts have been made to improve pain assessment implement effective interventions. Pharmacological approaches include non-opioid analgesics, opioids, adjuvant while non-pharmacological interventions involve physical techniques cognitive behavioral strategies. Pediatric requires considering developmental stages, individual variability, emotional factors. Accurate assessment, weight-based dosing, involving parents are crucial. Minimizing procedural addressing psychosocial aspects contribute better outcomes. Comprehensive necessary prevent long-term consequences enhance recovery. However, there persistent gap between evidence-based guidelines clinical practice, indicating the need for further education training. Implementation protocols multidisciplinary healthcare providers, psychologists, therapists, educators essential. By adopting these strategies, providers can quality life pediatric patients, reduce burden on system, mitigate impact untreated pain.
